The days seem to fly by. If I watch the news and read the paper our country is in upheaval, but if I stay in my own life then all is well. Everyone is healthy. We aren't loaded, but there is plenty of food and love. Gratitude for what I do have makes me feel a lot richer.

I had an amazing moment the other day while on assignment shooting a plantation that dates back to the 1600s. There are ten continuous generations in this home. I was shooting around sunset. The light was heavenly, magnolia trees were in full salute. Squirrels scampered beneath 200 year old oaks as Hawks circled above. I felt the present moment as perfect. Nothing to push away or pull in. All is well.
